DSBA to discuss employment-law changes

The Dublin Solicitors Bar Association (DSBA) is holding an in-person seminar on employment law next month. 

Entitled Navigating An Evolving Employment Landscape, the event will cover protected disclosures, pay transparency, and data protection and DSARs (data-subject access requests). 

The seminar takes place at the office of Byrne Wallace Shields, 88 Harcourt Street, Dublin on Thursday 8 October (4.30-6.30pm).

Participants 

Mr Justice Oisín Quinn of the High Court will chair the event. 

The speakers and topics are: 

  • Dr Desmond Ryan BL on ‘Protected-disclosures litigation: Insights from the developing case law’, 
  • Mark Finan BL on ‘Unlocking compliance: Strategic management of data-subject access requests’, and 
  • Pauline O’Hare, solicitor at IBEC, on the EU Pay Transparency Directive

There will also be a question-and-answer session. 

The event is worth two CPD hours by group study.
