Fieldfisher to roll out AI system after pilot

European law firm Fieldfisher is to roll out the AI platform Legora to around 1,400 lawyers and business-services professionals across its international offices.

This follows a six-week pilot with 137 users in Europe.

In September 2025, Fieldfisher set up a global AI hub at Fieldfisher X, its Berlin-based legal operations and technology business, which has led the roll-out.

Workflows

Fieldfisher says that its  lawyers will use Legora for research, review, and drafting in practice areas that include dispute resolution, corporate, technology and data, and regulatory.

Teams can hand multi-step tasks to the tool, review large document sets in a single table, and set up monitors to follow regulatory and legal developments for their clients.

Legora’s legal engineers will also work with Fieldfisher’s AI team to turn the law firm’s own know-how into shared workflows and skills that any office can use.

‘Core capability’

“This is not simply a software roll-out. Our objective is to make legal AI a core capability of the firm and to use it in a way that improves how we deliver legal services, helps us develop new offerings, and gives us better evidence of where AI creates value,” said Dr Jan Wildhirth (partner and managing director of Fieldfisher X).

Fieldfisher Ireland LLP managing partner JP McDowell said that legal advice has always come down to judgement, strategic thinking, and trusted relationships.

“By investing in Legora, in new ways of working and in the training and development of our people, we are giving our lawyers more scope to focus on exactly that,” he added.
